Your electrician business runs on a number of processes which we can call your business operations. There is a sale process followed by a fulfillment process and then a customer service process. But, there are processes before this involving marketing or advertising. All of these processes work together to generate revenue for your business.

There is some amount of data that you have to have to move those these business processes. There is probably customer data like an address to ship or service a customer. There is payment data. There may be marketing data in the form of where did a customer hear about your business. You probably have to record some data just to finish a sale.

But, there is a lot more data that you should be recording. It starts with your marketing effort. You should be tracking all the places where you are trying to market to your potential customers. The next data point is in your lead prospecting effort. You need to know which marketing effort is producing leads. Then, you need to track which leads are becoming sales. Finally, you need to track feedback from your customers after the sales in the form of surveys and reviews.

If you record all your business data for your electrical business, you can then analysis it and find places for improvements and places that aren’t effective.
